it was perhaps a disjointed album, with great songs. Misty Mountain Hop is a great song. When the Levee breaks, also good stuff.
Cant believe it's 40 years ago ?
I bought this Album in 1976, after seeing 'The Song Remains the Same" at the Colosseum in JHB. This was a hectic thing, they had about a hundred speakers all over the cinema, it was their best effort in bringing a live concert to a cinema.
Before "The Song Remains the Same" I had Led Zeppelin II which I acquired at Hillbrow Record Library on the sale section. No internet in those days, only NME and Melody Maker, So a lot of research done in the Sale section of Hillbrow Record Library.
