STOLEN! Fender MIM Strat (white)

Hi guys, my car got broken into outside my flat in Mowbray last night circa 18.30. They took my Strat.

It's a 2003/2004-ish Mexican Standard Strat in Arctic White. It's got Lace Sensor Golds and a pushbutton killswitch fitted. There's a blue label on the scratchplate that says "AXIOM".

Please keep an eye out, dudes! I'd be ecstatic if I could get my only guitar back. ?

THEN INSURE IT FOOL!!!

and update your insurance when you buy stuff. even if its not stolen, an accident usually involves someone's car boot.

My dad bought be the guitar when I was in high school, and also bought me a saxophone a few years prior. He says it's almost impossible to insure portable instruments. Pianos are a different matter, but small things like guitars are just too easy to steal.

Just to chime in, insurance only goes so far.. Sure, if you are playing gigs and constantly transporting your gear around then yes insure it.

However, if you only play socially then I doubt its necessary. BUT if you are leaving valuables in your car, then that's just asking for trouble. You'd never for example think to leave a laptop in a car.

It's the one thing I learnt from my Dad, rather spend that extra bit of effort being extra careful with your stuff to avoid these situations altogether.

Insurance is a problem for any musical item.
Just make sure your insurance comany knows exactly what you use the gear for.
I have had insurance on all my git's and my wife's drums for the past couple of years and luckily never had to use it.
Get a couple of quotes and make sure it cover your needs.

Normally I'm not one to harp on the topic situation, but hey, we're off topic. The guy is asking for help. When did this become a insurance sales thread? So its a white Fender?

Ps: Insurance is the biggest scam in the universe, capitalising on fear and uncertainty, and you're all not just buying into it, but crittissising and ridiculing those of us who dont. The guy made a mistake. I've had all my tools stolen twice.

didn't mean to rub it in, but these days, you sdon't leave anything even worth R100 in your car. It will get stolen. And criminals have a work around the remote controls locking the cars. Though, I probably didn't need to repeat it here. ?
