best flanger for bass ?

Bass players should only use a compresser and leave the fancy flashy stuff to the guitarists!
Have not heard a phased bass in a recording that I can remember. I'd think to start from there.

Boss has a flanger for bass, the newer version has a bass input for the standard pedal I think.

Try the Boss flanger if you are interested. It has a dedicated bass input. I however, after listening to the sound samples on the Boss website, opted for the Phaser to add a little bit of depth to my fretless playing.

Listen to the sound samples with good headphones.
