Is this the start of "post-finalism"?
This article on Salon makes some interesting points. Notably that this album has been decried as "crap" from the word go, probably from the time the actual project was announced, and before a lot of people panning it could even have listened to it, and so objective discussion is kind of difficult now.
Secondly it's argued that this is not, in fact, the worst record that either Lou Reed or Metallica have been involved in.
