Good stuff. It already sounds a great deal better than the earlier attempt. This key is most certainly better for your voice. Allow me, as another complete amateur, to offer some critique. Your solo sounds very measured and precise. I'd suggest that you try to stretch your notes a bit more and add some left hand vibrato. Also, you might want to vary your strumming pattern somewhat so that it isn't the same Down, Down, Up, Up, Down, Up pattern that repeats throughout the song.
But really, I'm not suggesting that you screwed it up and I'm not even suggesting that you do it all over (even though it can never hurt to give it another try). I'm just offering some thoughts that you might want to incorporate into your playing on future efforts.

Only 1 ear was listening to the recorded part, the other ear was open so i could hear my voice.
I looked like somewhat of a dj with the headphones only on one ear, but i was taught that by closing one ear, you can hear what you sound like! (somewhat).
Not if the ear that was closed had a headphone on it playing the recorded track. The notion that closing one ear to hear yourself better is true but the principle is that you hear (and feel) the resonating of your voice in your head cavities and through the skull better in the ear that you are closing. If you want to hear yourself better, stick your finger into the open ear. In other words, you'd have the headphones on one ear, and your finger in the other. You'll find that you hear your own voice much better in the ear that you've plugged with your finger.
By plugging your finger into your ear, you block out the ambient sounds but also you end up hearing exactly the sound that your voice is generating in your head space and none of the reverberating sound that your voice is making in the room.
