Played a White Falcon and Country Gentleman!

Yesterday Gian and Marco Melfi visited me and brought these two guitars with for me to try out. Both great guitars - the Falcon in particular, which is wonderfully resonant and a pleasure to play.

Lovely to try guitars like this, but I now have White Falcon GAS. ?

Yes.. It takes an arm and a leg as well...

No pics - was too busy playing them. ? Absolute heaven through the Twin and even the Amp Eleven and LTD.

Not as bad a price as I would have feared - in line with US prices. The model with the TV Jones Classic 'Trons too (G6136T-LTV), which were a fair cut above the Gretsch 'Trons in the CG.

BTW - The Bigsby trems were very smooth with a far easier action than I'm used to from a Bigsby - was a bit of a surprise how easy they were to use.

Aubs a White Falcon is like the ONLY guitar you will need to finish your somewhat 'perfect' collection.
At the moment you 99% of the way there... It just needs a Gretsch to be truly completed ? ?

Not nearly! Where are all the great acoustics? He doesn't have a D28, let alone a D45. There's no Lowden, no Collings... Aubs still has to face plenty of temptation.

This is what I noticed playing a Chinese Gretsch Electromatic the other day. The Bigsby was such an amazingly light touch. I want mine to be like this. I've even been thinking of cutting down the spring somewhat. You can literally get a great shimmer vibrato going with your pinky alone. Mine requires a much firmer hand.

The White Falcon is a wee bit flashy in a Kid Rock kinda way.
