Thx "slyd" - I wanted something versatile but still having a Strat type of sound. I heard the Split Blades a while ago at TOMS and was very impressed.
While I enjoy the traditional vintage type Strat, I really wanted a "tool for the task" for my application. I am hoping it will achieve this goal.

Thx guys - just got back from Fedex and I must say the pictures posted just do not do the guitar justice at all.
Paul, that's two you need to see now. When the Bashkin arrives that may require a special trip! Neon - I will bring it with when I eventually get the pick guards for the Tele. Aubs & Costa you will love this Strat.
WOW, WOW, WOW!!!!!
I specced a 1-3/4" nut to match all my acoustics so it will take a very short while to get used to as well as the 11's I asked for (may change that to 10's but I aint no shredder so will check out the 11's).
Ron Kirn's attention to detail and quality is absolutely superb. I am blown away by the finish and the little aspects that are unnecessary but give an indication of Ron's eye for the little things as well - like the simple act of sanding away the little ridge on the plastic switch knob, the "set-in" neck plate, back plate and jack plate and others.
I have never owned a Strat or Tele that is as resonant as this.
Pics etc. to come soon, but I got to tune her up, plug in and play for just a little while now.... ?

+100000000 to that! However, I may just drop dead when I see the Zion and touch it.. ? I am definitely thinking a weeks trip in the first few months of 2012 is a must do!!! What is the ETA of the beautiful Bashkin?
