Hi guys
Weekend has been a bit hectic.
One small pic, didn't take a lot
1965 Es-345
Thanks to kapepper for giving me a heads up and thanks to Nick for helping me with the pics while deciding. This will likely be my final guitar project. I have all the Gibsons I desired so now my amps and gutiars will be slimmed down as it feels I am just hoarding them.
Plenty I want to do:
1. Already yanked the varitone circuit. Extremely complex and heavy combination of parts. I will leave the switch in on a dummy pot for the look.
2.Replace stoptail with a lightweight aluminium one.
3.Install standard Dr Vintage ES-335 wiring harness.
4.Send neck PAT number pickup to Dr Vintage for repair after I accidently broke little wire coming from pickup. This pup has already been fiddled with, but sounds incredible. A nice sweet well defined neck pickup tone.
5.The guitar was converted to a stoptail, no complaints about that. Action is low and plays like a dream.
6.I will ask Foster to do a strap button repair.
Plenty of honest play wear on this one. Great neck profile!
I'll post some final pics when everything has been done ?
