Drummers vindicated - Santana marries one!

Riaan-Combrink

This may be old news, but I only read it today :-[

Drummers attract a fair amount of stick here on GFSA. So I thought they may like to know that no lesser mortal than Carlos Devadip Santana has actually married his own drummer!

Not sure why, I respect the drummer more than any other member of a band.
Drummers are like athletes, they hold the band together, and, they have the hardest job in the band, by far, IMO.

I read this at the time, must be a while ago. Anyway, also a while ago on news24 some guy posted something about great drummers or overrated. goodness me, I remember how people took some of the guys apart. Lars Ulrich(Metallica) took a beating, some oak claimed his grand mother is better. Ah well, nothing wrong with drummers. They're the most important part of a band.

There's also a difference between drummers and female drummers y'know.

Well, I'm less likely to marry a male drummer y'know.

Well that's interesting.

Have you been hanging around with some medical types that you suddenly know all this stuff?

Ok, the truth must out. I was desperately in ~~love~~ ~~lust~~ something with a lithe powerful unbearded breasted drummer a long long time ago. My second in person musical crush, the first was a bassist I saw a couple of times at Riverclub. Ah still a little flutter of the heart ?

I dispute your proof. I feel it may be confounded by male domination in internet content. For example, looking for hot drummers (not female) brings up mostly female drummers, and drummers that men think are hot players. Of course it's always possible that no male drummers are considered hot (not entirely unlikely).

So to test, I searched for hot guitarists. To my astonishment, this too brought up mostly female guitarists. This can only be consistent with my theory on confounding by male presence on the internet. If guitarists aren't hot, what the hell are we in this game for anyway? ?
