Hehe my first was a Yammie C40M bought in 06. The neck feels as wide as a Dunlop SP99 in comparison to my strat ?

@ Alan, Freudian slip indeed I had to put some of John's home videos onto DVD for my uncle after his accident, lets just say I had to do quite a bit of editing - the joys of hedonist Rock stardom ?

My first guitar was a white Ritmiller guitar with a matching amp. Really cheap ass sh#t guitar but it got me hooked on guitar playing. It is actually a good thing that there is companies making budget guitar packages because it gives more people the opportunity to get started at a relatively small price.

My 1st guitar was an yamaha, F340 Acoustic, then went on to electric and bought a cheap Santafe. Which was a crap guitar. then my JD brothers which i practically gave away☹. now going on to Ibanaz or Jackson.

My first was a sparkling blue ... Aria Pro 2 Fullerton .... , it sure beat the Starfire's , then again what doesn't
Not a bad instument as I remember. Think I paid about R 800 for it and it came with a porno brown bag.
Eventually I traded it in and got a 2nd hand Ibanez RG570 and thats when the fun started.
what ever happened to Aria Pro 's ???
never see em anymore

In theory my first guitar was a Yamaha F310 steel string. It was a krismis gift from my dad who didn't think my interest in it would last for very long; so essentially he bought it for himself.
There was much fighting and gnashing of teeth. I call it the Guitar Wars. Sadly another innocent guitar got caught up in the whole saga. Its still too painful to talk about *wiping a tear from my eye*.
My father now has sole custody of the guitar.

My first acoustic was a Horugel Gibson mocking bird look alike...and I actually really liked it once I set it up, it also played quite well when I changed the bridge. Eventually I sold it to help pay for a Compania acoustic (big mistake there) I have to admit though I far prefered it's sound, it was just alot harder to play and also alot more beat up.
My first electric was a Cort X-6 model in Matt Grey, which unfortunately was stolen.

First Acoustic was a Suzuki & Co that had seen better days, but I learned every Metallica song on it. Then I reckoned, it would look much cooler if it was black. So the sanding began and I sprayed it black...wasn;t a good idea. Still got it though. First electric was the Explorer. Don;t play it much now because I'm worried that Lars' signature will dissapear from the scratchplate.

Sounds like a familiar story involving a dad a daughter and my beloved Yamaha FG-200. I even bought her a spanking new Squire Strat to bargain with but sadly I lost ☹

My first was a Flying V "Dietsman" Brand,
they made copies of the Van Halen Frankenstein &
mine was a Scorpions Knock Off. Looked cool Played Crap.
& when Id finally saved enough for a amp, I was totally peeved
that it went prung! "What no Exodus Chuga Chuga."
The Amp a "Gorilla" started making a weird electrical smell
& kinda caught fire.
So I Had a rad shape guitar with pyro
but no distortion.

My first guitar was an Epiphone copy of the famous Gibson Everly Brothers guitar - the SQ-180. The real-deal Gibson played by Phil & Don (and also Neil Diamond) is the J-180. Spruce top and maple body and the infamous "dual moustache" pickguard. Bought in 1985 from a place called Musical Paradise in Voortrekker Rd, Parow (some of you may know it!). Still have her, and will never willingly part ... ;)

Hmmmm
My first guitar was a red starfire acoustic steel string...that looks like it was converted from nylon... ???
The bridge looks VERY much like a nylon bridge and the tuners too...lol...
Got it 3 - 4 Xmasses ago (can't remember if it's 3 or 4 hehe) and I still have it...
I bought a squire strat and peavy rage 158 amp about 6 months later...
Gave the squire and amp away when I bought new gear...

My first guitar was/still is a Cort AD860 acoustic. Don't play on it that often anymore since I have developed a liking towards electric. Lovely guitars, sounds really well but still have bad memories and get nightmares about that 0.12 gauge strings it had on when I got it. Oh, the agony.

Mine was a Guyatone Mosrite copy bought in 1969. Sold it and bought a Perfecto.Swapped that for a Hofner 12 acoustic. Then came my first REAL git .....a Fender Mustang with an AC 30. Paid R750.00 for both and lost it in a pawn shop for R150.00 in 1972. Thats what you call progress.
