Bob-Dubery As you may know, I am big fan of the BBC Scotland series "Transatlantic Sessions". 4 series to date have been aired but only 3 released on DVD. This was series 2 which was tied up in copyright red tape. The problems are now resolved and series 2 is released and is available from Amazon (maybe Take 2 as well). This is the one I've been waiting for. Much of it is on you-tube, but I prefer having the discs, good sound quality and a picture bigger than a beer coaster. Artists include John Martyn, cajun fiddle great Michael Doucet, Paul Brady (including a fab solo performance of "Arthur McBride and the Seargent"), Aly Bain, Ricky Skaggs and Jerry Douglas. Mine is on order. Should arrive next week.
Bob-Dubery Well hats off to somebody because I have it today! Picture and sound quality is very good indeed.
Bob-Dubery Squonk wrote Lucky Fellow I am still completely entrenched in Martin Simpson ? Shouldn't have reminded me ?
Bob-Dubery And 5 will be released next month and can be pre-ordered now. I haven't seen any of this yet (haven't looked particularly hard) but the list of guests from the western side of the pond is impressive: Sam Bush, Alison Krauss, Sarah Jarosz and Bela Fleck. Plus (amongst others) Danny Thompson, Jerry Douglas and John Doyle in the house band.
