DiMarzio & Tonerider

Hi All I have a LP copy that has a DiMarzio DP 151 in the neck and a Super Distortion in the bridge. Well, on Saturday the SD went south permanently ! I am getting a reading of 6.2KOhm. I think that one coil is open. Anway, I have heard such good things about the Toneriders on this forum, that I thought that they might have a good replacement. The only question is which one? The Alnico IV sounds like the tone I need, but will it balance well with the DP 151, or would the Rocksong AlII be more appropriate? Or, should I go for broke and replace the pair? Then I can put the DP 151 in the bridge position of my SX Tele. ( Mmmm now there's a thought.) I am in Durban so cannot audition these pickups. I was hoping that someone would have been down this road before and can give me some "sound" advice. (pun intended!) Thanks All

I got a rocksong set from andre in december too - love 'em! Which do you prefer, rocksong or generator? I love the power of the generators but the rocksong set has more tone and not as in your face.

I like the Generator set best in my LP and I love the Rocksong best in my HH Ibanez mongrel guitar.
Actually I love both sets. Each have their own characteristics. It's like the best of both worlds. I don't like single coil pickups so a variety of humbucker tones were what I was after, at a decent price, and the Toneriders are without doubt the best in their class. ?
