i wonder if those artisans knew or even considered they were creating classic guitars that would be sought after

and btw the '59 toploader telecaster with light ash body and maple neck which is my favourite "vintage" guitar of them all, and would dearly love to own one...... was built by those very people......prob around the time the film was shot since it's also a 1959 movie ...

Thanks for posting...very interesting.
One thing that stands out is the lack of "Health and Safety" compliance in those days....no mouth and nose masks, gloves, eye protection, shirtless workers,.... ?

Included in this full length version , is some amp & cab building , guitar playing ( no sound unfortunately ☹ ) , some R & R by some staff members , Leo's boat and some clips of the Fender , Rickenbacker and Gresch booths at the NAMM show of 1957 or 1958 (unclear about actual date) Also a young Barney Kessel and Chet Atkins jamming in those booths.
