8) , Hey Sebastian , I saw you jam at Wilsons Wharf about 2 1/2 years ago with some blues guys.....( the day you got your Laney head and cab :-\ ). I recognised your potential then and do so a lot more now. Keep your passion going dude , you will be famous one day ? .
My only comment about a great piece : Your synchronised solo with the sax would sound better in harmony with each other , ( the last bit was ne').
This is a great party trick that normally impresses the general public ....imo ,of course :-[
Joe, thanks for your kind words ? I remember your comments on the sound I got out of that laney a year and a half ago, and took them very constructively, thanks ? My eventual solution was to swap the laney for a big old 100w marshall. The Marshall's name is Belinda and we get on really well ?
As for the synchronised bridge, VERY glad someone brought that up!! To me, everytime I hear major-sounding melodies harmonised, it just reminds me of those chinese-shredder-type guys on Youtube who compose cartoon-sounding happy music and then shred the hell out of the major pentatonic! (I hope someone knows what I'm talking about :-[ ) So we just harmonised the end of the phrase for effect, and rather chose to play EXACTLY the same inflections like slides, vibrato's, phrasing etc... Sounds REALLY tight when we get it right, and the clip doesn't really show that....
Pete, I know, we haven't managed to really play a lot yet. In Durban, Jazz places are wary of us being too rocky, and the younger-generation oriented rock places think we're too jazzy, so we take festivals if our videos impress the organisers!! But we've only been going for three months, so hopefully that'll change...
@Shaun, Bro just pm me your cell and I'll give you a call. As soon as my music exams are over in mid-November i'll be free for quite a while and would be more than happy to give lessons ?
