My 2c:
I know nothing about photography, so I can't talk about C3PO lenses and the only Canon I'm familiar with is the one I use in my dreams to fire my ex into the Sun.
I like the top one. I think it's a decent idea (not a new one, but one that definitely works) to stick the band members up against the whole "industrial backdrop." Perhaps it could have been shot with better exposure or lighting etc. but the other dudes have made those recommendations.
The second one is also cool idea, but the pose seems a bit contrived. You look a bit too, uh, philosophical? Maybe try relax into one of those "I don't give a shit" poses with just a touch more attitude and nonchalance, and I think you'll create the effect you're going for.
The third one is just OK. Check out pics of bands, especially cover pics and promotional pics. You want to try and create contrast in the shot, rather than a sense of all "smiling for the birdie".
Classic Led Zep shot:
Lots of contrast in that pic, which creates interest. Effective use of contrast, and doesn't appear too "contrived".
Chili Peppers shot:
Band members at different profile to the camera, and also different depth of field (how far away they are). Probably harder to shoot correctly, but it's an effective way of creating a more interesting shot of the group, and you won't have to splurge for a Skynet 5000 auto-tracking "surrender-now-humans" camera.
These sorts of ideas are covered in basic photography theory, so if your mate is going to photograph you often then it's worth her while to check something like that out. Even just spending a few hours with a pro who is willing to share, or checking out some basic ideas on the web (or even taking the advice of the many experienced photographers on this very forum), will make a big difference in the quality of the shots.
Keep em coming though, good stuff.
