My favourite riff at the moment has to be the single off Opeths new album called "Heritage" The single is called "The Devils Orchard". BTW this is alot different compared to Opeths normal "Swedish Death Metal Style". Theres no growls etc.

I have two - the firts is one of the most cliche'd riffs since Deep Purple wrote the song. Yep you guessed it, it's the main riff of Smoke on the water. And also i have The darkness' "I believe in a thing called love", the riff\line\chord progression of the verses and also the chorus'
