go check out warthane they gig alot here in jhb. As well as head bang in the circular motion and the same time all shredding. How difficuilt is it to bang like this and still play good guitar. It must me quiet hard?
The style is called Windmilling or Circle Headbanging.
I do it too as it's quite easier on your neck being a smoother motion than "up-down-up-down".
I saw Warthane at Witchfest, the drummer was spectacular and a pleasure to watch and they're a good band but the Guitaring...I dunno.
I was told to check out the guitarist by Mutt (made one or two posts here) and my friend/tech and I did (and I'm just gonna be honest) When they solo's kicked in, I just pulled cringe faces till I kinda got over it and went to buy another beer. To me it seemed like my earlier years where I'd just show off by making it look all flashy and completely mess up the solo.
I messed up my solo's at WF weren't too hot neither...because it was probably around 6-12 degrees (not even kidding lol) I played with a long sleeve t-shirt, under neath a short sleeve t shirt underneath a Jersey and I never broke one sweat.
But they're definitely a band worth watching again. ?
