Thanks for all the nice comments guys! I really appreciate it! :goodtimes:
PS, Chris, Caliopa with 1 L ?
It took a while to get, but yeah, some things are worth waiting for!
This amp to me, was so worth it!
Im SO glad i got the cherry colour, i love it!
I got to play on her a little today, and jip, i love it!
It sounds how i want an amp to sound! Its the sound in my head!
And the reverb is great too ?
Not to mention the included footswitch!
Im as happy as can be!
Squonk, Live demo?! not with me playing! i suck ?
i can strum though?! Kinda...
To those around my parts, who would like to test the amp out, im sure we can arrange a get together or something!
Bring your amp to A/B against mine! I dont mind at all!
Aubs, im sure we can organise something too, though to test against your Marshall, i'll have to come to you!
Im working again, so it will have to be on a weekend sometime!
Wayne, good luck finding one in store to test out...
Though many are willing to order one in for a person!
I just wish they would have these out on the floor!
They really would sell given advertisement!
The demo units Music Mate had, they sent back :-\
IMO, stupid, maar nou ja..
StephenG, thanks dude!
Swap the strat? hmmm, lets see yours first ?
Maybe i can be persuaded! lol!
Joel, I had to stick to my guns hey!
Not only because the Albion is great value for money, but also because the other amps which give me the same feeling are all much more expensive!
Its no secret, that the only other amps which i love as much, are the Fender Deluxe VM / Bandmaster VM, and the Mesa Boogie Express 5:50!
At least now, i have one of the amps i would like to own!
Its more a case of me loving the 6L6 tubes...
the 6v6 and EL34's dont give me the same feeling!
They're nice and all, but the 6L6 is my kinda tone!
Now to answer this:

Norm, I think what you've done is a great example to beginning players everywhere. Instead of starting with a crap guitar that is barely playable all shiny and new at the store, you got a classic rock guitar for fair money second hand. Then you add a tube amplifier that you can get overdrive from in your house (that thing cuts down to 1/3power, right?) without the neighbours calling the cops. And you did all this for under, or not much over R10K, right?
Your Fender beats any squier, and your amp is going to kick the ass off a cube or a Vox ad or a fancy floorpedal.
Congrats.
Now. Get practising. ?
Singemonkey,
Like i said, you have a good memory! lol!
The Strat cost me R3000, the amp under R5500, a snapjack with 2 straight tips R300.
So, not counting new strings or setups and so, a good R8800 yes! So lets call it a round R9k.
(Slightly less, but i cant guarantee people will pay the same price i paid! I see the price went up on the Audiosure price list too, so i bought at just the right time i does think).
The amp has 100% power, and 33% power options, plus a master volume.
On each channel, there is a gain, drive, bass, mid, treble, volume.
And the tone isnt really sucked out, though it does sound a bit better when playing louder!
So yeah, between the 33% power, the channel volume and the master volume, you can get decent tone and decent levels!
But with this thing dimed... Good luck! lol!
Just opening the volume and master volume at 33% is really really loud!
and the drive channel... even louder!
As for effects, i would still love to get the Vox Tonelab EX... Just for the things i dont have! But thats a story for another day, and a toy for when i have money again! lol!
But for now, im really happy with the clean, the dirt and the reverb on the amp!
Now about my other gear, i still want a strat in the classic tobacco burst, a custom thinline carved top tele, and maybe a standard tele!
When it comes to mini amps... lets rather not go there ?
