Recording Studios in Cape Town

Hey
Can anybody recommend good recording studios in Cape Town? Pretty much know about Heritage Sound in CT and Sunset Studios in Stellenbosch.

Specifically looking for something closer to Cape Town city centre.

I think they're pretty much open to anything. The last band they were recording as mentioned on Facebook was Lark.

There's another studio I know of, but way in the Southern suburbs if you're interested - Serotonin Sound studios in Glencairn - also open to most genre's.

The guy who owns it is the bassist for Lark. Isochronous have recorded there as well. I'm sure Fuzzy will accommodate you ? They're a very pro studio, do all sorts of music and film work.

The rooftop studio in St James is great. If you want a studio environment in which you feel really at home, I would check them out. They are obviously not near the city centre, but worth the drive! They have to my knowledge done a wide range of genres including: Folk, Classic Rock, Acoustic Rock, Pop and blues and even some hip-hop RnB stuff. Very competent people all round!

Yes. Definitely. I can vouch for this any day. They recorded my band on Friday, and we where all extremely satisfied with everything. One of the better studios around! Definitely worth the drive out of Cape Town. Although I believe they do actually have a studio in Cape Town as well, not sure if its for tracking. Phone and enquire. They are a rad bunch of individuals.

I actually did come across rooftop studios and am meeting Matt at their studio in town tomorrow. I'll let you know what the setup is.
