I have to say thanks to Garth Strydom for this and his thread. http://www.guitarforum.co.za/classifieds/giving-away-my-line-6-pod-xt-live-needs-repairs/msg153011/#msg153011

I got it yesterday for the whopping shipping fee of R57-00 and off it went to my connection this morning to see what I'm looking at for the repairs. (if do-able). My buddy has another XT live that has a good ram which can be swapped over if need be, but I was told this morning that the ram is good and that it seems to be a software problem, but will be able to tell me after the weekend. If do-able for under R1000, I said go ahead and do the conversion from 110-220 as well as it's an import unit and runs off an adapter.

PS. I did have an extra amp model pack loaded on there, I hope it doesn't get lost in all the repairs.

Thanks man, well I just got the dreaded call from my buddy.........(Garth, did you ever do a reflash on it?) Cause erm.......when he called me, he was chugging away in the background and saying that he's playing through my XT with zero issues.

He did a factory reset, reflashed the unit and did a firmware upgrade and she powers up with no problems.

They're gonna do the 220 changeover for me as well as it is there for the day. R350-00.

I feel like a bit of an idiot having missed something so simple. In the words of Homer Simpson... 'DOH'. But honestly, I've preferred the old school stand alone pedals and amp setup. I would have got rid of the POD at some point anyway.

Anyway, enjoy the XT Live!
