One sexy guitar - Ibanez RGHRG 1 BKF
Malkav
Check out this sexy shred machine. the finish was custom designed for Ibanez by H.R Giger, the man responsible for Alien. I think it's beautiful and is apparently quite nice to play. retails in S.A for around R25 000 :)

the fret markers look cool
Malkav
it's an alien spine, however the cool thing about it is that it's gold mirror...so not only is it a unique colour but it's shiny and reflective ?

I would NEVER pay R25k for an Ibanez ? (ok, I'm ducking and running now !! ?)
Malkav
If you'd never pay R25k for an Ibanez then obviously you've never touched one in that price range. Their very high end stuff is amazing in terms of wood quality and craftsmanship, far better than alot of the top notch brands such as Fender, Gibson etc...IMO. so long as it says Japanese you're pretty much guaranteed of a guitar that is built like a tank and sounds amazing to go with it, though most Ibanez's do have a strange midrange woof that's not for everyone's liking, but that's personaly preference. Also in the top end lines they give you an amazing variety of choice in terms of wood type which can't be said for alot of other brands.
The Giger model has one hell of a finish on it as the alien spiny stuff is actual embossed onto the guitar so while you're playing you feel all the freaky indents that make it look so scary. This guitar in my mind is more a work of art than an instrument and if I had one I'd certainly play it but at the same time that's not where all it's value lies.

This is very good looking especially for an Ibanez.
