Ah man, ideally I'd go for these of Fralins, but they're a little out of my price class. I'm currently talking to a custom winder, Mike Reilander, who has awesome prices and replies to emails instantly. ?
"That is definitely do-able. I can wind the neck to the typical 10,000 turns, replacing the A2, with A5's should bring out the mids slightly more while maintaining clarity. It would pick up the dynamics of your playing very well. For the bridge, about 12,000-13,000 turns aught to do it. More windings will bring the mids out and increase output.
Neck will read about 7.7KΩ, and the bridge around 8.5kΩ."
I've asked him to take the neck down a tiny bit, low 7's, and to include a set of A2's should I want to swap out. Any opinions on this?
