The baby of the forum.

I am as stated above in all likelihood the baby of this forum. Being 15 I hope I'm just as welcome here as anybody else?

Anyways I joined this forum a few months back in hope of finding the guitar suited to my budget and needs. It was amazing that everyone took the time to help me when in some forums people are the least willing to be of any help.

After a few questions and answers we came to a conclusion and needless to say I'm a happy guitar owner. Thanks all round.

I got my first guitar from my dad 6 months ago and messed around with it. Not really interested. I watched the movie crossroads(not the one with Britney Spears) and I was immediately nagging for lessons. After a month of lessons I found that acoustic guitar wasn't my passion and began my quest for an electric. I found her in Bothners in Plumstead and we've been happy ever since.

Been playing just under half a year now and felt the need to finally introduce myself.

Hope to take the time to post more from now on.

nice guitar,i've never been much of a Cort fan, but i quite like their EVL serries...

maybe we should ask Norio to check who the true baby of the forum is ?

like rene said,you got a really nice set up for a beginner,should keep you motivated to keep playing,then again i know a guy that got a GIBSON(not epiphone,GIBSON) Les Paul Classic(or Standard,i really can't remember) R25 000,Marshall (can't remember model) R7000 and he is buying my Boss ME-50 next week...kinda makes me mad,but alan made me feel better about it,because he will probably give up playing and then sell it all off cheap ?

In all honesty I've always been quite a Les Paul fan and as a start up guitar was really wanting to get a epiphone. After wondering around stores I only found many left handed ones. I'm happy with my choice though and after reading some of the stuff on this forum I'm not such a big LP fan anymore.

As you can see though my Guitar has a very LP-esque look about it and its in a nice black colour and light. Is the Les Paul really THAT heavy?

LOL That guy must be one happy camper with his gear but I think knowing that I'l get a much better guitar later in life is awesome and I'm always thinking of ideas. One day ?

How do I know when have a bad case of GAS? (the guitar kind ? )

The one thing I love about newbie-guitarists [yes, me included] is that no matter whether your first guitar is a Les Paul or a Cort, you're still gonna love and cherish it more than anyone else in your life (including your spouse. but thats okay because musicians make better lovers anyway.). No, newbie guitarists are seldom prissy about the pimped-outness of their guitars - they love them unconditionally and I think thats fantastic ?

Hi Tauriq! Why would being young have anything to do with being welcome here? ? To some of us most of the folk on the forum are young! We all have a common interest in music tying us together.

well put it this way,i started gyming so that my back doesn't get sore when i play it :-[,kidding,but they are heavy,but i don't really mind it... i love the shape and look...

honestly, I really don't think what guitar you have matters as much as how well u can play it ? I was comparing them more with reference to price than anything else. I don't really like playing Corts OR Les Pauls to be honest, but that's just my personal taste *shrugs*

Les Paul fan huh?

I quite like the Les Paul as well. Wouldn't mind owning a Gibson Les Paul ? at the moment I have a 2nd hand Sammick Les Paul that still sounds great. Although I don't know much it does seem to be a very well rounded guit sounding great no matter what style of music I try.

I love the whole acoustic neck thing on the Les Paul electric...just makes sense to me.

Well I'm convinced people would appreciate your posts more if they were able to read them without struggling.

Having an english teacher for a mother also helps in that regard. Also I hear that using cellfone spk is nt gud 4 ur brain. It supposedly lowers your I.Q ?

Also wouldn't want to make the wrong impression. ?
