arjunmenon Wow! Great clinic. All round nice guy. Very charming, entertaining and has a great sense of humour. Top 3 impressions he did would be: 1. George Benson meets Holdsworth 2. His Indian classical music influenced slides (in response to the fretless question) 3. Yngwie Malmsteen banjo licks. Top 4 tips to me were: 1. Sweat the free stuff - Look at the way you use the pick (attack, angle, grip etc) and maximising on your tone & volume controls. 2. Develop your fretting hand skills, the picking hand will follow. 3. Minimize learning stuff from tabs/tab books and start learning things by listening. 4. The vibrato and the floating bridge are great tools to get the best out of your guitar. Try vib-ing into the target note and out of the target note (Strangely enough i was watching Buddy Guy play Hoochie Coochie man on the Experience Hendrix DVD, and his vibrato and bending skills are off the chart)
