Is there one?
Anyway.
We were pretty bad against Wales, they were all over us.
Luckily there aren't video replays of penalty or conversions, the one Wales kick was definitely between the posts but it wasn't given.
We looked all over the place, no game plan to talk about.
IMO, you can't win a World Cup without a great coach, and we don't have a great coach. ?
Discuss.

Imho although our players are experienced they lack the flair and tenacity that
many of the younger players have. For example look at Wales' 8th man, 20 years
old and made our tacklers look idiotic.
I think we should put Bismarck in the starting line up with Hougaard in there too.
Anyway it was a super tense match, but I enjoyed it. Although we only won by
one point at least we won :-[
And I'm sure there are going to be a few uhm... arguments about rugby as there
always are. But hey 100% support for our boys.
GO BOKKE!!!! :applause:

Fourie du Preez had no place on that field. He was slow, distracted and appeared like he did not even want to be there.
The forwards need some serious work as well. At one point Jannie du Plessis was just sitting on the ground looking at the game. They were SO slow getting to the breakdowns as well.

I just watched the game again.
Our tackling was weak, we never moved them backwards in the tackle once, they dominated the loose, we were slow in getting to the breakdowns.
I think Hougaard should replace Habana, Habana's great for adverts but he's forgotten how to play rugby. ?
Garren
Well hopefully this game was a reminder that just because we won it last time definitely
doesn't mean we are set to do it again.
And yeah, Bakkies was definitely missed.
A mate of mine actually said he thinks Habana thinks he's a forward ?

Our game got better with each substitution from the bench.

I'm with Zohn - 2 tries to 1 deserves the win...no matter how ugly it was or uninspiring - we won it.
as for the penalty kick - well there were 3 officials on the field whose job it is to be paid to decide if it went over or not.... we only had the benefit of static camera angles.. they have the ability to actualy move their body posititions to be best placed to make the decision.. and they decided it was a miss...
my very first opinion of the kick was that it had missed and then curled back after passing the upright, giving an incorrect depth of view perspective that it went inside the upright.
Smit must captain from the bench.

We're just lulling the opposition into a false sense of security.

Like when you putt a ball ... and it ends up behind the hole.
From the camera angle directly behind it is impossible to see whether it was in front of or behind the poles when it curled back.

A win is a win, but, what a poor performance. Smit and Habana, both are past their sell by dates, it's time that they get put out to pasture, including ''Piet Schnorr''. In their opening match against England in the last world cup, the boks were rampant and ruthless, the Brits just didn't know what had hit them, the Japanese on the other hand were fantastic and played brilliant, running rugby, and the final score was by no means indicative of the match.
The Bokke are going to have to rise more than one notch if they want to pull it off for the third time.

As mentioned Spies and Habana are merely there due to past achievements, I mean seriously, how long is it going to take to get back in form? It's been like 3 years already. Fourie Du Preez had an awful game but he still is world class, hope he gets back into it cause he can be crucial at times.
All the subs made an impact, especially Bismarck "Gunshow" Du Plessis. Attacking defense instead of waiting for them to play is very important imo. Either way, we're with the Boks till the end. ?

it really hasnt been the best display of rugby we've ever seen, that said hopefully the bokke learn from this game, since we are defending the Webb Ellis trophy every team in the competion will be gunning for us.
If Wales won then went out they would have atleast been able to say they beat the champs.
I think every team there knows their limitations.
No one from the Namibian camp for example have said they are going home with the cup.
Lets just hope the boys see that they really need to up their game.
What do you guys think will be our next hard game SA vs. Samoa?

Don't forget Fiji. While I don't think they are on Samoa's current level, it will still be a hard and physical game. Samoa will definitely be the tougher of the two.

Canada just beat Tonga 25/20 ?

Scotland vs Georgia next. Unless Scotland improves on their performance against Uruguay Romania, this should be a good game.
