LM Radio would certainly give most local stations a run for their money in terms of listenability (is that even a word?) and DJ skills. Or, is this just nostalgia??
For us old farts, yes it would. But it might not be a commercial proposition these days.
A friend of mine was at some corporate do a while back, pigging out on the free nibbles and having a free drink and he got talking to The Big Famous Guest AKA Jeremy Mansfield.
He told Mansfield that he thought that Highveld was a great station except for the music they played. Mansfield replied "How old are you? Over 27? You don't count. Radio stations don't program for the likes of you because you're not attractive to advertisers. Nothing personal... that's just the way that it is."
