What is the best pedal of the 2 IYO ?

I'm not a fan of the MT-2. I had one, sold it after about a month. I've heard that the HM is pretty decent, though I haven't tried one out...
Not just my opinion, several guitarists I know say the MT didn't live up to expectations. However, it does come down entirely to personal preference ?

Honestly? Neither... but I'm an old rocker, so what do I know? ? Although if you can lay your hands on a Humphrey-modded MT-2, they are great for the wall of distortion thing.
You have a good high gain amp already, so IMO, the pedal doesn't need to do so much heavy lifting. I'd probably start looking at Rats, an Okko Diablo or a Big Muff.

MT-2 unless you can get your hands on an 80's Jap HM-2 - Mod the MT-2 properly and it's a different pedal. Many people who complain about a stock mt-2 pedal usually have all the pots jacked up to full.
A MXR fullbore metal would be my choice though.
