Fender Vibrolux at Bothners Plumstead for <R7k

Thought I'd post this since it seemed a really good deal. Saw yesterday at bothners a Fender Vibrolux marked way down to under R7,000. Same amp Peter Green preferred for it's lush reverb sound. Seems a really good deal on a reissue Fender.

Interesting.
When I had my 1966 Blackface Vibrolux Reverb with original Jensens and GEC KT66 tubes the best price I was offered in SA was 7K...sold for $2000 on eBay.

The Custom Vibroluxes are not the same as the originals - a very different circuit. Even Fender says they are "inspired by" rather than "reissues of" the 'Lux. Not much headroom and more drive than I expect from a BF amp. Generally a bit sterile - I'd rather have a Hotrod Deluxe.

Cool. Well cleared up. I'm not that familiar with those amps.

Is this a new or used amp ?

New. But this is a ways back. And Alan says these amps aren't as hot as I was imagining (a '60s reissue type thing it's not apparently).
