Sad news indeed. Amongst other things stolen, 12 Tokais were stolen, including a bunch of Premium Series models. So, if anyone's offered Tokais under suspicious circumstances please let Andy know. Thanks

but andys shop is located in a business neighbourhod, and andys shop is also in a complex... no camaras or anything? No secuirty guards at night?

Anyway, it would help to get some names of the models and serial numbers, and we wil be on the look out. Maybe the thiefs wont sell it on gumtree, but the one who buy such a guitar will do it to make a quick buck

where Andy's store is located they are supposed to have security 24 hours a day. Andy is not a very happy man regards that issue.
ADT took 12 minutes to respond they hit the shop at 2.08 AM ADT got there at 2.20AM so it was a slick operation and they knew what they wanted.

Lets hope insurance company does not see this as form neglicence on the part of andy or his store

well, if problems in these matters, I think we can always set up a small benefit to support andy

i imagine that's pretty much how andy felt about some of his coolest stock on saturday morning... still, there are some odd things happening on this here hunk o' code lately. f'r instance, i sometimes click on my unread replies, and then don't get redirected to the spot i think i should get redirected to. but i'll raise that in the appropriate place, shall i?

man, still can't get over how bad i feel for andy's. (i guess not as bad as andy feels for andy's, eh gang?) i've been going there since they were in the piazza in randburg, which is some good time ago. always the same level of service since the beginning. ah well. pooh transpires and we must all learn to deal.

i have had a truly horrid week, and a truly fecal weekend (except that THE LIOOOOONS WON AGAIN!!!!). the world cup starts this week, spring is well and truly here (up on the h/veld anyway), they will nail the schmos who got into andy's (and music connection and anywhere else connected in anyway with anyone we all know, with any luck), so thiiiiiings can pretty much only get better.

can i get a hoohah?

The Larrivee was sold on Friday, guess too much was going on for Andy to phone you Zohn. I actually convinced the lady who bought it to have a look at it during Wednesday evenings guitar forum. The lady who bought it is a classical guitarist and teacher. I don't work for Andy but always refer people to his store. He's a good guy and always goes out of his way to assist. Have been a customer of his since the first store and sometimes help out there from time to time.

i think andy believes in getting what he gives. so he gives great stuff - his product and his service. my first experience in his store was a setup, and since then i've spent a small fortune on everything from picks to amps and guitars - and everything in between. my wife doesn't like me going in there with a wallet! even now that they've moved a little further away from me, it's still worth the trip imo. i don't go anywhere else.

it's been said, and i'm sure it'll be said again, but... damn shame.

If possible - It might be a good idea for Andy to post the serials here of the stolen guitars and if anyone is offered them or spots them they could notify the cops? :-\

Cahn is a term used by Ogri ( a fictitious cartoon biker character) to describe nasty ppl ... similar to using more graphic terms
