@needleshy: Surf green has never been an option I would have considered in the past but I must admit I really like it on a Fender for that 50's/60's Vibe. The guitar looks much better in person imo and the colour-coded headstock is growing on me... The Gibson flying V is a limited run Melody Maker. (I haven't seen them in the country yet.) Its comes stock with a Seymore Duncan HB-103 and is a sleeker minimalist version of the standard V... I prefer its sleeker profile, lighter headstock and overall minimalist approach to the flashy V-design. The guitar is as refined as a 2.4 diesel Hilux but it has a very unique lead tone that I'm falling for... It resonates like crazy, so much so that it's one of my loudest guitars when played unplugged...
