This is well worth posting. Free strings and lots of prizes on top of what should be a great workshop (although I am finding myself wondering what "huge fun" is - somehow the phrase reminds me of Whole Lotta Rosie ?).

Pedal Shootouts

The main event will be an overdrive pedal shootout featuring some of the best overdrives on the market
A distortion pedal shootout
A Wah-Wah pedal comparative test
Brands on test will include MXR, Way Huge, Custom Audio Electronics, Dunlop and ZVEX, as well as a couple of industry standard pedals.

...all to help you in your quest for tone.

The pedals' tonal potential will be showcased to by the toneful and tasteful playing of Dion from the Campus of Performing Arts. Both he and Jason from COPA will form part of a hot live band that will open and close proceedings while aurally illustrating some of the pedals' capabilities in a live setting.

Prizes and Giveaways
We are giving away a brand new ZVEX Vexter Box of Rock to one lucky winner on the day.
There will also be lots of other giveaways including T-shirts, badges, picks, polishes, bottle openers and a Zippo lighter.

Most importantly, each person to RSVP will get a free string change, performed by Music Connection's excellent guitar techs, with a fresh set of Dunlop Strings. Just supply your string gauge and string type (electric or acoustic). Bring your guitar along, but be sure to RSVP in advance. One string change per person.

Dang that is COOL! I would love to hear the ZVEX stuff with my own ears and not on Youtube.

That music store rocks! I always pop in there when working in JHB. Maybe CT music stores could do something like this?
