Yeah i get that, but if you were to transpose it up, what should the chord be?
If you're holding the notes as Jacques indicated it's C#m. What are you comparing it to, when you're saying it sounds off?
Comparing it to an "open" C#m,
e 4
B 2
G x
D 2
A 4
E x
Seems though i was plying the G on 2, making it a C#m aug5 or some such :-\
But alrighty, i'll just keep the C#m as the bar shape... it should work!
For interests sake, its for Roy Orbison's "You got it".
With a capo on 2, you're playing:
G, F, C, G, F, C
G, F, C, D, F
G, Em, Bm, D
G, B7, Em, C - D, G.
So i was trying to play it without the capo, which works, but on the Bm chord transposed, didnt sound right to me...
I'll try it tonight with the Bm in the same place to see if it sounds right!
A G D A G D
A G D E G
A F#m C#m E
A C#7 F#m D - E A
But the E and A at the end of the chorus doesnt sound to good to my ears either.
oh well... easy enough with the capo!
Cheers.
