I argued that the reason the song is so popular is that people actually like her stuff, and the inverse being true as well that she is also so popular because people Dislike her so much. Either ways its a win win
Its not her stuff, she didn't write the music or the lyrics. I do think its the nonsensical and extremely cheesy video/lyrics that caused it to go viral. I don't think anyone likes that song, but most of us like what other people are making of it, and the new stuff is good, not because the song or its content is good, but because we know the background. Show any of these remixes to someone unfamiliar with the meem and they'll think you're daft.
