Right, so here we go - Boks forever!!!! I chose this article as an introduction - I find it hmmmmmm (rediculously) funny.... ? Ref warned over no-try blunder Auckland - Irish referee George Clancy will control the opening match in the Rugby World Cup, but faces a warning about his no-try blunder which cost the All Blacks in Port Elizabeth on Saturday. According to Wynne Gray of the NZ Herald website, Clancy asked for a "try or no try" verdict in Jimmy Cowan's touchdown, but broadened that inquiry when television match official Johann Meuwesen asked if he needed more information about a forward pass. Eventually the pair rubbed the try out but International Rugby Board referees' boss Paddy O'Brien said the ruling was incorrect. Not sure if I would back the All Blacks in the WC. They are definitely far and away the better team, but can you imagine the pressure they're going to be under playing on home soil? I imagine it's going to be massive. Everywhere those okes will be going for the next few months, supporters are going to be giving them "encouragement", "This is it mate!", "You guys ARE going to do it this year!", etc etc, probably even a few unconscious little jabs. I don't know, I think psychologically, the All Black team will have to be rock solid, I really don't envy them. Personally, I think the pressure will be too much.

IMO, one of the best most passionate Springbok performances I've seen in years, they were brilliant, totally destroyed the Aussies in ever facet of the game, ...yet they lost. >☹

Oh well, as revenge we'll just have to F them up in the cricket.

Yes a great bok performance ? but for as dominating as they were they just could not finish . And you don't get points for looking good but for getting the ball over that try line . And yes they should have won but bad tactics . Surely with 2 great kickers like lambie and steyn when it was down to a one point game and they had all field position why not pepper aus with drop kick after drop they would have missed some but would have scored too but no they ran endlessly at aus's water tight defence , you'd think they'd work out that tries were hard to come at some point in the 80 minutes , but no

I don't watch a lot of rugby, but I have paid some attention to this world cup, and it seems to me to be not unusual for a side to have majority possession and to have a majority as regards time spent in the other side's half and still lose. So clearly those aspects don't mean that much. Which puzzles me, but then I don't understand more than the broad strokes of the game.

We went down guns blazing, so I'm proud of them for that. The best team on the day might have lost, but that's the beauty of sport. Yes Pocock got away with murder and the refereeing....well conspircy theorists will have a ball with Lawrence and how far the kiwis will go to win this one, but in the end we lost. The Aussies had one chance to score, and they took it. We had a couple and fluffed them.
So who will you okes be supporting now? I'm shouting Wales hey.
