killafo Nice one!! I have the BB preamp. Very very sweet OD pedal, ?. But yeah i'd like to hear your take on it as far as settings for the pedal goes and when you use it. shweet.
ActionArnie Tried the goodies last night with my Strat. Knew what to expect with the Timmy as it sounds pretty much the same as my Timmy-derived Danelectro CTO-1. Was surprised to find the gain range for the Timmy and the BB are actually quite similar. The Timmy sounds better at low gain but the BB is much more transparent at lower gain than I was expecting. At higher gain sounds the Timmy gets quite loose to my ears and almost gets a little fizzy with single coils. The BB drive stays nice and tight all the way to higher gain settings. I was hoping the BB could replace my Hot British in terms of tone but they really are quite different with the Radial being a bit higher up the gain scale. After the brief testing I've done if I had to choose between the BB and the Hot British for a higher gain application the Hot British wins fairly easily in my opinion. Starting to regret selling it ☹ ... Maybe more time tweaking will change my mind .... the BB is far more flexible though than the Hot British ever was. The biggest smile on my face came with the BB and Timmy stacked. Sounds friggin amazing! Nice thick drive with days worth of sustain. Will present my findings with 'buckers when I get the chance to stir these puppies up with my Gibby.
