I noticed a massive differance in tone fot he better when I changed to a PP2 from my older cheaper pedal power.
Overdrives sound sweeter as well as delays, and I really have no super power hungry pedals....
Good power is the best investment for a board ?
Ever noticed how your car seems to go better when you have just washed and polished it! Don't fool yourselves - a 9V regulated supply is a 9V regulated supply. The power supply is not in the audio signal path. There will be no difference in the sound of the pedals unless your benchmark is a supply that is under-rated current wise, or is not properly regulated.
It's the same story with tone caps. It's the value of the capacitor that determines the frequency response not the type or age!
After all, who wants to admit that they have spent a fortune on over-priced power supplies and there is no sonic difference.
That should put the cat amongst the pigeons!
