Did you try set up the Amp Eleven with a touch of amplike drive (where it excels) into a clean amp and then put the Tube Screamer in front of it the way you would an amp? I did that with an LTD and it was great, but I have wondered how a TS would work in the same situation.
Just tried this now and they stack quite nicely, really brings up the TS9 drive, makes it a bit more in your face. At least at the lowish volumes Im playing at this time of night ?

One problem I have with the sideways orientation (and partly due to the knobs being fairly high above the casing) is that I tend to change the level control with my foot when I stomp on the switch. Especially as I have mine set for low drive unity gain, which is right where the pot gets tricky - a minute change and the volume jumps or disappears.
Actually only noticed this after you mentioned it as Ive been sitting on the floor switching the pedals by hand as I fiddle. Ideally it should've probably been in a slightly larger casing to give more room. I will have to be careful if/when I gig with it.
