So I finally made it to Marshall Music in CT on the ever elusive hunt for my Epiphone special II.

Starting to think that i'll never find one...

Anyhoo..I just wanted to give props to the sales guy that walked me thru some of the other guitars that they stock.

Maybe I should abandon my search for the Epi and instead as he suggested look at one of teh LTD or ESP axe's...

Well epiphone and gibson is rare nowadays, if you find one, it will probably be second hand.

Do you want a solid bridge or floyd rose on a guitar?

I would recommend a jackson guitar, really solid sound copared to LTd.

Whats your budget for the guitar?

Definately solid bridge...Floyd rose is too much PT...imho..

Budget depends on what I can find..somewhere in the R6500-7500 range..

Marshall didnt have alot of Jackson's in stock...

But Iam keeping my options open..

Check this out - maybe offer him R 3000.00 cash on the guitar alone and be willing to meet him at R 3500.00 if he thinks 3k is too low ? Not sure of the condition though.
The amp isn't a bad thing to have either
