Hey guys, so school is really boring if any of you guys remember, I think the only thing that gets me through is fantasizing about being a rockstar and roc...

my matric June exams didn't stop me from going to Jo'burg to play in a show!

What a trooper ?

My kind of ideal situation is just do well this year
and then spend all my free time in uni jamming and gigging,
lets see how this goes :-[

does anyone ever watch a program called "Marreid to Rock" ...now them women are just plain f*cked up ...cept maybe duff's wife , ok even including her...but i'd tap em

I never said school wasn't important, just don't let it get in the way. If your music is important enough you'll fit it in no matter what.
Having parents that are supportive of your music is TERRIBLY important, mine have been with me all the way.
And as far as drugs are concerned, all the drug-addicted superstars mentioned in this thread are exceptions to the rule.
Very few successfull modern day rockers are drug-addicts.
I'm not saying you have to be angelic or celebate but be carefull.
Dreaming about drugs is not a good thing.
Ask Amy Winehouse....oh sorry you can't, she's DEAD. :'(

RGD series :-[ I love those things...The RG2228 as well, though in honesty I don't really think their scales are long enough to be considered "baritone".

Not only does school give you all kinds of choices when the one in a gazillion lottery-win style international rock stardom plan doesn't come off, but a solid education opens up a lot of pleasures and interests for when even heroine-addled midget groupies are starting to bore you.

There's nothing whatsoever that pays off more reliably, or bigger, than putting in some effort in your schooling - in almost every aspect of your life.

Much nicer to be a bewildered touring rock star and be able to go, "We're in Georgia now? Georgia USA, or Georgia Europe?"

So true. Plus, if you sign a bad contract because you could not read it to begin with, well, you'd only have your self to blame.

I'm 100% with you there, I've been working my ass off at school nowadays, managed to push my marks way up ?

Wont' say rockstar, won;'t like the bodyguard thing, can't go out to go gfor a walk. Hiding from everyone. But I would like to make money, enough from music, so that I don't have to sit in a office making money for someone else. :'(
