Looking to start a thread on what everyone is using as their amp settings for various styles on a tube amp. Specify which amp as well
Feel free to add pedals make and settings.

Delay - Slapback
Reverb- Hall sound...
Pretty simple for me
I dont touch guitar volume and tone, everything is pick sensative

Nice 8) Likewise.
Tube amps seem to be the most "receptive" to my style of playing.
Plenty of gain and a few effects here and there for flavour and a good dose of wah when needed. I lay into harder parts and hold back a bit in softer parts without fiddling with volume or tone knobs on the guitar.

Well style wise i play finger style , multi part jazz and world music , and for the flamenco i play my nylon thru pa . But for the jazz i play ao american standard tele thru a laney cub 10 i plug into the low gain input and pretty much play with the tone at 5 and everything else at 10 . Then just use guitar volume and tone. Simple and a fabulous sound , if you know harlequins casino at sun city . Just the amp un mic'd fills the room even when full , which is about 80 people maybe more . Of course at jazz volume not rock volume . But the tone is sweet and the amp only slightly breaks up even at full volume so i get that clean tone with a halo of breakup . And i keep a mic setup in front of it in case i need the extra volume but so far i'm leaving it off . I like the sound of a small amp driven hard . I only add a hint of hall reverb with a pedal

I've been using my 18 watt on the normal channel mostly (Tone + Volume). For me Tone and Volume goes on 8, the rest from the Les Paul. No pedals at the moment. Cleans up real nice.

for stage : volume full or somewhere between 50% - 80% depending what i feel sounds best, eq just for color, normally around 5 depending on which amp i am using, and work around that.
Home: plug it into my Tube Tamer ?
one last thing, controling your guitar with the volume pot probably has the biggest effect on tone.

Well for me
Bass: According to guitar and room - so it's solid but not boomy
Mid: According to guitar and where I want to be in the mix.
Treble: According to guitar and room - keeping clarity without being piercing.
Do you guys really keep your eq in the same place the whole time? ?

hell no , but my amp is so simple ? it's just 1 overall tone, gain and volume so i use the tone often as in tweak it a lot on the guitar not the amp,

BF Twin with Weber Blue Dog and Weber Silver Bell (both Alnico). All tones start dimed, but bass backed off depending on volume, venue and if I have a bassist or not. Volume 3 (amp is biased cold, so that's edge of breakup with the tones up). Result: full, fairly even sound with scoop in lower mids; very dynamic and punchy with a touch of hair on full chords played hard but crystal clean with Strat volume turned down a smidgen. Same settings with humbuckers or P90s, but obviously immediately more hair (I tap the coils for clean sounds).
No tone controls on the guitars, BTW.

My Amp stays about the same wherever I have taken it.....
Volume is almost always 1/2 anymore and its to much breakup for me.. any less and its not enough breakup...
Tone does not really change even between guitars.... maybe a tiny change... but I like it when I can set my amp at a setting and plug in different guitars and each one shines on its own.... in its own way.
Thats why I have an amp with 2 knobs only......

Amp : Laney VC100 - 6x12AX7 & 4x6L6 - 2x12 Celestion 70/80
Settings :
1. Totally clean - Channel 1 (bright switch off) - Volume @ 9'o clock; Bass @ 3'o clock; Mid @ 10'o clock; Treble @ just under 9'o clock; Reverb @ 10'o clock
GT10 settings - comp + EQ fairly even with a high cut @ 11.00 khz (it's a very bright amp) + Volume + Delay (794 ms/FB@30/High Cut @ 6.00 khz) &
Sub delay (can't remember the finer details) in the FX loop (serial).
On the guitar - Vol @ around 8 & Tone @ 10.
2. Clean with some grit - Channel 1 w/ drive engaged (bright switch off) - Drive @ 10'o clock + same settings as above.
GT10 settings - Same settings as above + a heavy attack gives me some bite.
On the guitar - Vol @ 7 (8 - 10 is for varying levels of grit) & Tone @ 10 (still trying to maintain some shimmer on the top end)
3. Overdrive - Channel 2 (additional drive switch off) - Drive @ 2'o clock + same settings as above
GT10 & guitar settings same as #2
4. For solos & a little more "chugg" - Same settings as #3
GT10 - Same settings + a Turbo OD (drive @ 80, Tone @ 0, Effect level @ 42) + a solo boost
On the guitar - Vol @ 9 & Tone @ 10.
I have different settings for my Ibanez JS100 (also because its got coil-tap)
I can't believe i remembered all that right off the bat. ???

If you have a full EQ on your amp you can change it to the room. If you have one like mine you have massive midrange and treble, treble which can be tamed with the tone on the guitar if you need to, hence I leave it at 8. Unless the room makes it sound too dark, then it goes to 10. Haven't needed to put it less than that yet.

I have tons of different settings for different occasions but right now what I'm really enjoying as a guideline for a heavy metal kinda tight rhythm sound is:
Gain: 25
Bass: 35
Mids: 70
Treble: 60
Presence: 75
Of course there are normally effects before hand and after, for this particular sound I like to use a TS in the front with these sorta settings:
Gain: 0
Low: 0
Tone: 75
Level: Whatever works.
Then afterwards I'd run a graphic EQ set with a decent hump at about 800hz, then a bit of a spike at about 1,4Khz before hitting the amp, after the amp I have another EQ doing a slight cut on 250Hz and a spike on about 6Khz.
Combined with two noise gates, one that is there to help cancel out electric noise and the extra noise the TS adds and another that has a fairly fast cut but isn't so high it screws up the integrity of the original sound.
Signal chain is something like Guitar -> Gate -> TS -> EQ -> Gate -> Amp. I fiddle with various paremeters constantly but this more or less does it for me right now, and I'm not 100% sure whethere I put the EQ before or after the 2nd gate...
I tailor and tweak everything depending on location but I believe these are more or less my bedroom and recording settings, my lead sound is a little looser with a slight bit more low end at the moment but that's always subject to change depending on how I want it to balance out or what characteristic I'm looking for in the solo tone. ?
and yes it goes djent.
IceCreamMan
i just play with the knobs and look busy ....
Volume is normally at 3 o clock ..the rest tween 10 and 2
sometimes the volume is a lil past 3 too.
