Well if you've blown the 60W voice coil twice, I'd say 50W would be far too low. Play it safe and look at +/- 100W speakers.

If the cone kit is available, it's repairable. You can also usually ask the person repairing it to recone with a compatible 100W voice coil. In fact, possibly the last repair was done with a more common 50W coil and that's why it only lasted a year.
