I had a look at the Feb thread on this, looking for a bit more info on attenuation levels... What is the average decibel attenuation required for loud but not damaging volumes for an averagely loud band? This has got to be the worst framed question ever :-[
The stock models range from 5, 10, 18 and 25db... Even the custom fits require you to specify levels (I know you can get adjustable ones but as far as I know you have to go back to the clinic and they send them off, hardly useful for playing around)...
Any suggestions for a range that still sounds "loud" but doesn't still damage the ears?
Mid range does the most damage, so anything that 'attenuates' the mids is groovy.
