I just saw the poster over the weekend - super excited about it.

.......i am yet to go for a few ?
I attended one of his shows which had the rider 'and workshop' attached. Pitched up without a guitar, of course. No way I was going to play in his presence. No problem - couple of extra guitars around and one thrust into my hand! Was a very rewarding experience, of course. He was super down to earth, though - as befits all the mellowing ex-hippies!
Ya Bob - so sad I never got to see the likes of Martin Carthy - you were really lucky to have seen quality shows like these. I love it that Mrs X stops knitting when something's really good! ?
She has knitted through performances by Richard Thompson, Martin Simpson, Steve Newman, Loudon Wainwright and Tony Cox, so Carthy must be something a bit special ?

Bob, don't take this for granted as a show of disinterest. Have you ever checked the knitting she's done after every performance? Have you noticed whether she uses different types of stitches for different artists, or knits differently depending on genre or tempo, etc. It may well be an integral part of her musical appreciation experience!
