cain Hi I have a piezo bridge and it uses batteries. Is there any way i can rewire it so the normal humbuckers will continue to work when the battery dies. Its kind off annoying when the whole guitar stops working when it dies.
AlanRatcliffe Is there any way i can rewire it so the normal humbuckers will continue to work when the battery dies. Yes.
AlanRatcliffe Sorry - couldn't resist ? It's doable - I never run the magnetics via the preamp, because they end up buffered and I prefer the passive tone. The only thing is you lose the three way piezo/both/magnetic switch and the blend ability when you use a mono cable, so you have to run with a stereo cable and stereo rig the whole time. There is a way of getting the switch to work by replacing it with a double pole triple throw, but the only other way to blend is by using an external mixer. Still interested?
cain LoL sound like a mission because then i have to run the accoustic via the PA or Accoustic amp ( which is better ) but i dont have the money for it. The other is i cant insert that switch that can switch between pickup so i think not lol thanks allan.
