They are a small boutique manufacturer, focused more on quality than quantity. The hype has mostly been created by fans on the forums and it's kind of a runaway success for them (the first batch sold out in minutes of release). They probably don't want to outsource to another manufacturer and I can understand them being unwilling to hire in unskilled labour just to meet the (temporary) demand. They really do seem to be working as fast as they can to meet the demand without compromising quality and they have been very good at keeping people informed every step of the way of each production run.
