Thanks , after i quit smoking 3.5 years ago i put on "a couplep of pounds" and with a wee lad in the house there are alsways sweets and crisps in the house (and chocolate). After a weekedn away in may with my bike mates i stepped on the scale and i weighted 108.3 which is the heaviest i have been in a moerofa long time. DEcided then and there to cut out sweets and junk, reduce carb intake after 4 pm and generally watch portion sizes. I also wanted to exercise but dodgy ankles and knees from years of squash have kept me off the pavement. I still have my beer sessions and the odd rum just eat more sensibly. I am now nearly at my leaving school weight. I also feel better ,sleep better and generally my all round health has improved.
My goal is a BMI of 25 by mid november..reason being i am doing a presentation to the board of the conglomerate i work for and i am shitting myself to be quite honest so want to get some confidence from looking the best i possibly can. funny enough with a lil less gut i have found my beloved strat to be more confortable too ?
still a way to go, weight loss is slow (they say this is a good thing though) but the results are positive and consistent. I also set up lil rewards for myself along the way. the first was sub 100 ....watch my thread about a possible new guitar ?
once i reach sub 95 its a plane ticket to any destination in the world .....
27.11 today...but it was my anniversary on friday and we went kinda big on the food and alcohol.
