Body Mass Index

You take your height , ie 1.90 and multiply it by itself ie 1.9 x 1.9 = 3.61.

Then you take yr weight ie 100.8 / 3.61 = 27.92.

Thats my BMI .... i believe < 25 is the ideal BMI. Not an exact science but an indicator, nothing more.

so in light of that i need to grow another 10 centimetres

    Mine is 24.8

Your 10cm comment reminded me of an article headed "Are you too short for your weight?"
24.2 at a height of 1.6m ...i probably weigh less than most peoples 1 piece back LP ?

Btw is there a number thats too low? Like indicating you are too skinny or anything? Cause im sure if you were say 2.2m with a weight of 50kg that cant be good

27.18... but it's all BS especially for men...

My legs from mountain biking alone weigh in at a probable 20kg each ?
Cycle at least one 50km off-road on a weekend and run at least 30km a week on top of that... mostly trail running.

I need to grow about 10cm too to satsify this BMI stuff... ?

They dont take into effect, bone mass etc. Anything over 25 is considered overweight. With me coming in at 30, I am obese ?

We're really scraping the bottom of the barrel if we're now discussing BMIs on a guitar forum.

I vote for a good old "My Tokai is better than your Gibson, now piss off!" thread.
Ez, sadly we have already established that a knockoff won't ever beat the real thing, so that topic is boring now. ?

                when did we do this?
                  27.6
Muscle ways more than fat though.
This is why waist/hip circumference ratio I believe is superseding BMI as a better predictor of unhealthy weight. Because it's pretty self evident that an incredibly fit, muscular person can tip into the "overweight" category when they're clearly healthy as a horse.

Let's face it, this BMI thread is in for some hefty (excuse the pun) reporting bias.

                    So who's posting their waist/hip ratio? ?

                        Excuse the man mentality here.....

Isn't the waist and hip the same thing ? ?

Well I guess its true, playing a real '59 burst will always be awesomer than one made after Jimi died...

I still want a flame war. Those days were good.

I going to ignore the lady above. No I'm not.
But this BMI thing must be nonsense, my BMI is 20.5 and I'm actually about 3-4kgs overweight :?
                                Now scrolling up again.
Edit: I'm just going to ignore Singe's hip/waist request. A man with a 30 inch waist and 30 inch hips requesting that is just bragging heroin chic.
                                  29.7 ???

No man should ever have to measure or report his hip/waist ratio ... ever ?

                                    Wouldn't mind measuring ez's example though ? ?
