Hi guys, I bought a brand new Fender '72 Telecaster Deluxe about 2 months back from Music Connection. They had it set up and did the usual thing.
Now, 2 months later, my A strings 5th and 6th Frets are having fret buzz. It isn't unplayable, but really annoying since it's a brand new guitar. I'm not really familiar with guitar setups etc.
edit: Today I also noticed for the first time the low E string also has fret buzz when played open.
Any advice?
All I can think of is a fret being too low/high (for the A string), but it can't be worn since the guitar is new?

first things first , when last did you change the strings . if it was 2 months ago , then it may be time for new strings .

I was hoping you'd say that ?
Yeah it's been about 1 and a half month I guess, maybe more.
I'll try that, thanks!

Yeah, strings maybe, but don't be too worried about high frets and things.
You've only had it 2 months at home, and remember, everything starts to settle in.
Did you buy it in Welkom, if not, the climate difference could be affecting it. Also, I've found that many of my mates bring me their axes a few months after purchase, saying "hey, it's only 2 months old and there are buzzes and rattles everywhere! Help".
There are a lot of changes and differences happening to your guitar now that is with you, (sorta like puberty ?), ie. getting played more often than in the store, being stored differently when not being played, and just as I say, . . . a general settling-down of everything.
You will probably just need another minor set-up ?

Thanks man that helped.. I'll buy new strings next week, I'm sure it will be the problem.

many shops are humidified.
it often happens that once you have taken the guit home it adapts to the new oft drier environment.
Remember wood reacts to the environment its in.
You'll prob find it needs a minor truss rod tweak to correct it.
Nothing abnormal by the sounds of things..
