Ok here is another one. I must admit there is something bothering me, I've done this one a while back and didn't want to upload because I am unhappy with it, but ya, best way to figure out whats wrong is to post here for criticism I suppose. So here you go, be gentle ?

One big thing - speed it up! At this tempo it comes across rather dirgelike. Listen to the original and the Johhny Cash versions and you will note that they are both rather uptempo considering the subject matter.

Kill the short delay on the vocals - remember that reverb and delay both have the psychoacoustic effect of moving a sound back away from the listener in the 3D soundstage. Things you want up front in the mix like vocals should not only be louder, but in most cases dryer with less delay and reverb (there are exceptions, but not here). Think of reverb and delay of being something like a panpot, but instead of moving the sound from left to right, it moves it towards or away from the listener in an imaginary room. Your percussion is almost bone dry so it ends up being too "close" while your vocal is sounding like it's coming from the back of the room.
