I am lucky to get my hands on a few vintage Fenders amps in the last while. This Silver Face Showman is in great condition for it's years. There is some interesting details around the output tubes cathodes. I measured the output transformer primary impedance, and got 3500ohms to 8ohms. Keep in mind this is a 86watt amp.

The wiring is pretty neat!

Loose solder inside the amp can cause a short circuit ? This nasty got to lay exactly in the wrong place:

Just received my Showman from Karel.....early '68 silverface with original AB763 circuit. It has that big warm tone so often heard on early recordings...sounds really good through the Bandmaster 4ohm cab.
